Superhero movies are a hard thing to get right, and people tend to be pretty harsh on them when they go wrong. A good example of this is 2005’s ‘Fantastic Four’ – which was panned by reviewers and audiences for pretty much everything, including writing, effects, and casting.
Jessica Alba, for instance, received a lot of criticism for her portrayal of Susan Storm, the Invisible Woman. Audiences thought it was a fairly dull and uninspired performance that left her much more invisible than she probably would have liked.
