The historical epic ‘Kingdom of Heaven’ was a sweeping and grandiose epic detailing events in the Crusades of the 12th century – and despite one or two criticisms, reviewers found it to be a truly engaging and enthralling movie.
However, one of those criticisms was fairly major, being directed at the choice of Orlando Bloom for the lead role. Despite a good effort, it was felt that the fair-of-face heartthrob Bloom was not quite the right choice for a rugged medieval blacksmith and knight.
