As far as superhero movies go, ‘Batman and Robin’ is perhaps the one that has been most famously reviled by critics, fans, and audiences. The writing, the direction, the aesthetic choices – the Mr Freeze puns – people found a lot to complain about with this film.
One complaint concerned the fact that the Caped Crusader was played by perennial heartthrob George Clooney. People argued that the normally suave and dapper Clooney was a misguided choice for a film that’s so absurdly campy and kitsch.
