The role of the villain is one of the most difficult in any film. In a way, films hinge even more on their villain than they do on their hero. As such, there was a lot of pressure on Adam Driver to deliver in the role of Kylo Ren – one of the main antagonists of the ‘Star Wars’ sequel trilogy.
Unfortunately, fans of the original series didn’t take to Driver as a villain, feeling that he lacked the same imposing menace that made Darth Vader such an iconic enemy.
