Although superhero movies are so dominant now, for a few years there were serious teething problems as people tried to get the formula right with less than stunning results. One of the less fondly remembered attempts is ‘Green Lantern’ starring Ryan Reynolds – which was largely panned by critics and audiences.
Critics felt that Reynolds in particular was a questionable choice, asserting that he did not have quite enough dramatic cred to balance against the more humorous elements of the film.
