In the arena, one of the tributes holds a sword in a campfire to somehow strengthen it. But when he takes it out, it glows in yellow as if it had just been made by a sword-smith in an oven which can melt metal. Is this some kind of magical sword?
Because in reality, it doesn’t matter how long you hold a sword in a campfire – fire cannot impact metal like that. So was the sword made of some magic material, and not metal? If so, it was never explained.
