District 12 is supposed to be the poorest district, where people would do pretty much anything for a piece of bread. However, in light of this, in the first film Katniss is still roaming around wearing an authentic leather jacket with a nice pair of leather boots.
Where on earth did she find these when everyone else in the district is wearing rags? Also, why didn’t she think of selling it to provide more food for her family?
