Playing with Legos is a beloved pastime for both kids and adults, but what’s with the holes on top of the Lego heads? This is a safety feature that Lego came up with in order to prevent choking hazards in little kids.
If a child swallows one of these heads, the biggest concern is the blockage in their airways, which would cut off their breathing. Putting a hole inside the head ensures that air can flow freely through the Lego piece until it can be safely dislodged.
