Firing someone is always awkward, but there was one employee who gave me no choice while I was a manager at a Sonic Drive-In. The guy gave a customer the wrong drink, which was supposed to go to someone else.
But the customer had already taken a sip, meaning you’re supposed to throw it away. Instead, the employee took the drink back and handed it to the right customer. Unfortunately, that customer was a health inspector, who was clearly not amused.
