We all take turns working holidays at my job, but this one guy told me on July 3rd that he couldn’t come into work the next day. When I told him he had to come in, he got really mad and asked why I couldn’t cover for him as the manager.
I told him I would have tried to accommodate him had he asked in advance. I also worked during Thanksgiving and Christmas, which he had off. With that ungrateful attitude, I decided it was best to fire him.
