I thought I’d heard it all when it came to excuses for calling out of work. But this guy truly takes the cake! He called in to tell me he couldn’t come to work because it was raining, and he had just gotten his car washed.
Clearly, no one had taught him anything about work ethics, because he honestly thought rain was a valid reason to take the day off. What’s more, he thought his car staying dry was more important than a paycheck.
