I hire a lot of teens to work at my tomato fields during the summer, since it’s a job that doesn’t require any special skills. One time, I hired this kid who was a hard worker…but he picked all the green tomatoes, along with the red ones.
Apparently, he forgot to tell me that he was colorblind and couldn’t see the difference between red and green. I felt bad about firing him, but I really had no choice.
