One day, we noticed a girl who didn’t work for us, but was constantly on her laptop in our break room. It turns out her boyfriend was one of our new hires, who would bring her into work every day.
We told him, of course, that she had to leave. With a totally straight face, he told us, “If she leaves, I leave.” If he was calling our bluff, it didn’t work, since we fired him immediately.
