One time, we caught this guy stealing office equipment and posting it for sale on eBay – under his real name, by the way. When I and the other managers confronted him, he said we were just going to throw that stuff out anyway.
Which is ridiculous, because I don’t know any business that can regularly afford to throw out expensive equipment. Plus, we kept that stuff locked inside a cabinet, so he was clearly breaking in and stealing from us outright.
