This new woman we hired called out sick on her very first day. When she showed up, she claimed she was anemic, which was why she couldn’t keep up with her duties.
Yet, she did have enough energy to be on her phone all day. I tried to give her a chance by bringing her in for extra training – where she proceeded to spend her time looking at her fingernails. I was done at that point, and told her she was fired.
