Once upon a time, it was still somewhat socially acceptable for sick workers to continue showing up at the office. Why would a person who is sick choose to continue going to work? Maybe they don’t realize they’re contagious? Maybe they refuse to admit they are sick? Anyhow. Not that this type of stuff would happen again anytime soon, but what Victoria here is suggesting is basically the “an eye for an eye” of sick days.
