Freaks and Geeks, besides being an innovative comedy about outcasts growing up in the 1980s, was also one of those lightning-in-a-bottle shows cast with young actors who would go on to become a generation’s movie stars.
With names like James Franco, Seth Rogen, and Jason Segel in front of the camera, and comedy legends Judd Apatow and Paul Feig behind the camera, it’s easy to forget that none were household names when it aired. This photo shows Franco and Rogen before they ever had a taste of fame.
