Legion was a superhero show featuring Marvel characters… except it wasn’t. It’s honestly a little hard to explain, but while it stars a Marvel character – David Haller, who’s Charles Xavier’s son – it was also one of the weirdest shows on TV. Experimenting with nonlinear timelines and multiple realities, it was a mind-bending experience that often left viewers reeling.
In season two, we catch a glimpse of those alternate realities, including one in which David is a destitute homeless man. He looks feral, completely unrecognizable – and we were able to hold the illusion that somehow Stevens physically transformed himself until we saw the makeup being put on him.
