There are so many disturbing elements to the universe created by Westworld, but probably the biggest one involves the drone hosts. Unlike Evan Rachel Wood’s Dolores or Thandie Newton’s Maeve, who look like regular humans in every conceivable way, drone hosts are mute, hulking behemoths with no faces who are up to all kinds of shady things behind the scenes at the park.
Here’s the kicker, though – the drone hosts aren’t special effects. They’re portrayed by actors in latex suits. This photo proves that, as one drone host actor helps another pull his visor down as his buddy’s taking a sip of water through a straw.
