Across four seasons of just 13 episodes (British television, go figure), Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman created a modern-day version of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson that the world was obsessed with. It was a fresh, bold take on a character that’s been done countless times before.
And while Sherlock did have its comedic moments, they came naturally from the two protagonists’ mismatched personalities rather than goofy behavior. Well, this photo certainly bucks that trend, doesn’t it? While Cumberbatch is making a weird face, Freeman has grapes in his eyes for some reason. Maybe they went off the deep end, and that’s why we only got four seasons…
