[post_page_title]Mary Tyler Moore[/post_page_title]
Mary Tyler Moore didn’t just make millions of people laugh – she changed the very way Americans thought of women while she was doing it. Starting on The Dick Van Dyke Show, her second role on her very own The Mary Tyler Moore Show, as an unmarried, career-minded woman, was groundbreaking.
Unfortunately, in later years she suffered from both Type 1 diabetes and a brain tumor. This photo was snapped in Los Angeles’s LAX Airport in April, 2013 – the year of her last public appearances. On January 25, 2017, she passed away aged 80, as a result of cardiac arrest complicated by pneumonia.
