Freddie Mercury needs little introduction after a career as the frontman of one of the world’s biggest rock bands, Queen. The star’s passing weighed heavily on the hearts of Queen fans when his last day sadly came in 1991.
Mercury had been keeping his illness a secret from the rest of the world to allow him to focus on his music as much as possible. When the end was near Mercury released a statement urging the world to rise up and fight against acquired immune deficiency syndrome.
