[post_page_title]James Gandolfini[/post_page_title]
For eight years, from 1999 to 2007, James Gandolfini was Tony Soprano, on HBO’s wildly successful mafia drama The Sopranos. Mistaking him for a one-hit wonder, though, no matter how big that hit might’ve been, would be doing the versatile actor a disservice.
Actually beginning his acting career on Broadway, one of his last two films, Enough Said, was a bittersweet romantic comedy in which he starred opposite Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Unfortunately, he wouldn’t be around to enjoy the praise he’d get for it. On June 19, 2013, Gandolfini suffered a fatal heart attack while on a family vacation in Rome. Hours earlier, these photos were snapped by fans.
