From the moment it was announced, 2004’s ‘The Passion of the Christ’ was a controversial movie. Not only because it’s a theatrical interpretation of the events of the Bible, but because of its extreme violence too.
However, there was one other aspect of the film that had audiences frustrated, and that was the casting of Jim Caviezel as Jesus Christ. This was considered a very controversial decision, because it was a white man playing a Middle Eastern man. That doesn’t make sense, does it?
