Despite the majority of the movies feeling super far-fetched, there are actually some aspects of these films which are based on the real-life events of pirates who lived in the 1700s.
However, there’s one scene in the fourth instalment which seems to upset a lot of history buffs, and it’s the moment we see the Black Pearl ship sailing towards Singapore. This doesn’t make any sense at all, considering the country of Singapore hadn’t been properly found until the 17th century.
