You may be aware that Frozen is based on the classic fairytale, ‘The Snow Queen’ by Hans Christian Anderson. The Danish storyteller also penned The Little Mermaid, which provided inspiration for the Disney film by the same name. While it went unnoticed by kids, the creators paid homage to the author in a flashback scene showing Anna and Elsa’s parents, Agnarr and Iduna. When Iduna asks Agnarr what book he’s reading, he casually responds that it’s “a new Danish author.”
