You’re probably aware that Frozen is big on using symbols to foreshadow future events. You can see this with the Nokk, the mythical horse and water spirit that Elsa rides to Ahtohallan. But this isn’t the first time that Nokk makes an appearance in the film. If you recall, there’s a flashback early in the movie where Elsa and Anna are listening to a story about the Enchanted Forest. If you look on the nightstand, you’ll see a small horse figurine that foreshadows the appearance of Nokk in Elsa’s life.
