With a military consisting of 22,000 active personnel and 43,000 reserve personnel, the Philippines’ military skews much more towards reservists. However, the country – situated in Southeast Asia and comprising of several thousand islands – doesn’t need to worry very much about being understaffed.
This is because the Philippines also have 135 naval ships, 135 aircraft, and 45 tanks to hand. The Philippines is also one of the most highly-populated countries in the world, with a population of over 100 million.
