Located in Southeast Asia, Thailand has a considerable military that was formed in 1852. As things stand, the Thai military currently has 360,000 active personnel, and 200,000 reserve personnel – giving it a pretty big military relative to its size.
This has been in large part the result of increased military spending – with Thailand pumping increasingly large amounts of money into its military from 2006 onward. Thailand’s military is not particularly overstocked when it comes to aircraft and sea vessels, but has more than enough tanks – at about 700.
