As a small country with a population of just 5 million, Denmark understandably doesn’t have a very large military. The Danish military consists of just 20,000 active members, and around 60,000 reserve members – making it the 101st-ranked country in terms of military forces.
However, the Danish military is extremely well-respected due to its professionalism, and highly-trained, highly-capable forces – especially for its special forces squad known as the Jaeger Corps. Denmark’s military has commonly engaged in peacekeeping missions as well as conflicts over the years.
