As one of the largest countries in the world, as well as one of the most populated, it makes sense that Brazil would have a fairly large army. The South-American country has a military force that consists of 334,000 active members and just over 1.3 million reserve members.
However, as Brazil is not involved in any conflicts currently, the military is looking for different ways that it can serve a purpose – and has recently been looking at working on civic programs like construction and community building.
