Game of Thrones filmed in some of the most beautiful locations on the planet, but there were some things the production just couldn’t have physically appearing. One of them was Daenerys Targaryen’s dragons. Since producers couldn’t find any dragons to play the roles, they had to resort to technology.
And while it might have looked impressive in the HBO broadcast, seeing the whole thing behind the scenes… is not. Near as we can tell, Emilia Clark is on her lunch break and about to tuck into the biggest pickle we’ve ever seen – but it might just be a stand-in for the dragon that’ll be added in post-production.
