Right from the very beginning, filming Game of Thrones was one of the biggest technical challenges in television history. The production operated in six countries spread across two continents – often simultaneously! This photo was taken in 2009, during the show’s very first season, and it really messes with our minds.

What’s the forecast for Castle Black?

All we see is a group of guys in big coats looking tired and/or bored with huge colorful umbrellas everywhere. Considering Castle Black, where this photo’s set, and The Wall were filmed in Northern Ireland’s abandoned Magheramorne Quarry, bad weather was probably all too common… but we thought the Night’s Watch was tougher than this!
