When The Mandalorian first started airing on Disney+, the entire world was so caught up on Baby Yoda that hardly anyone noticed that the show’s production may have actually changed entertainment forever. You see, for Mando, gone were the clunky green screens of past Star Wars productions.
Say hello to Stagecraft, or these enormous LED walls seen here that surround the set in almost 360 degrees and project a three-dimensional backdrop in real time. While the image isn’t ready for TV, obviously, it’s miles ahead of anything Hollywood can produce – at least until we can shoot on-location in outer space!
