[post_page_title]Jeopardy – Problem word[/post_page_title]
Jeopardy is one of the most popular game shows in American TV history, but it isn’t without its controversies. This controversial incident came during the kids’ version back in 2013, and it was incredibly harsh. Young Thomas Hurley was probably fighting the nerves while answering questions in front of a live studio audience and slightly misspoke.
He gave the correct answer of ‘Emancipation Proclamation,’ but for the TV show, this answer wasn’t good enough. He had pronounced the word ‘emanci-pit-ation’ and was deemed to have gotten the question wrong. Thomas then came second in the competition, missing out on $66,000 worth of prize money. We can’t help but feel this was a little more than harsh.
