Patrick Quinn went onto the game show Super Password in 1988 but would never be able to collect his winnings. The show hadn’t been able to do a thorough background check on Quinn, and the showrunners had no idea he was an imposter.
As Quinn showed up to collect his winnings he was arrested as authorities realized he was actually Kerry Dee Ketchum, a fugitive wanted in three states. He had faked his wife’s passing to collect on her life insurance, but eventually, the law managed to catch up with him.
