It was starting to feel as if her story was ending. She wasn’t providing a home for her children, and now it seemed as if things were going to get even worse. She thought she had already hit rock bottom living in the car, but this was a new low.
The officer arrested Ebony and had the car impounded. Everything was falling apart. A co-worker had to collect Ebony’s children while she was sitting in jail. Then, her sister had to travel from another state to come to get them.
