Moving into the shelter was a massive relief for the family. It gave them enough time and space to work things out. Ebony could focus on work as much as possible while her kids focused on school. Her three sons, Calvin, Jaheame, and Isaac along with her daughter Danniaja, now had somewhere to live.
They were 17, 15, 14, and 12, so they all needed to focus on their schoolwork, which would now be easier, even if it was in a shelter. Eventually, Ebony saved enough money for an apartment.
