All this spooky talk may have made you crave a drink to chase away the ghosts. So you leave your hotel room or private mansion and go swing into Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop Bar, which holds the distinction of being the oldest bar in the United States, named after another legendary figure, Baratarian smuggler and pirate Jean Lafitte.
Unfortunately, buildings this old and with such a bloody history have their own fair share of ghosts, so you may want to limit yourself to just one grog and one barrel of gunpowder…
