Okay, so this is a little bit embarrassing, but we’re now drooling a little bit. Why, you may be wondering? Well, it’s because we’re now thinking about New Orleans’s most popular cuisine: traditional, old-fashioned gumbo. Marrying fragrant herbs and spices with shrimp and andouille sausage, gumbo is a hearty and stick-to-your ribs stew.
While this cajun fare can be found throughout the entire state, we’re going to admit we’re a little bit biased and insist that the best gumbo comes from New Orleans. Definitely try a bowl while you’re in town!
