In true New Orleans style, they offer up what is called the “King’s Cake,” a giant, colorful, and festive brioche cake loaded with sweet fillings like apples or chocolate, often with a small trinket inside.
It is said whoever gets the slice with the hidden toy is king for the day, so dig in with enthusiasm and prepare to issue royal edicts!
