While these predators prefer to lurk in the deeper swamplands, it is an unfortunate fact that New Orleans itself is seated right on some prime gator real estate. It’s rare, but you shouldn’t be too surprised if you’re wandering the streets looking for the next place to dip into and walk past a prowling gator.
Like the tourists, they popped out (of the storm drains) to see what tasty treats Louisiana has to offer today, so be careful not to end up on the menu!
