[post_page_title]Not just beads[/post_page_title]
There’s more to the cleanup than just collecting abandoned masks and beads, however. Mardi Gras is a huge party, and naturally a fair bit of drinking and entertainment occurs. With so many people participating in the festivities, there’s oftentimes a considerable amount of trash remaining to be cleaned up before the streets return to normal.
Red plastic cups, oversized beverage pitchers, paper plates, and glass bottles litter the roads every year afterwards, as this picture shows. If you attend, please remember to pick up after yourself!
