Just like Ed O’Neill, Sagal went on to act in more sitcoms and comedies. But then in 2008, she seemingly found her true calling, when she made a sharp departure from the sitcom genre. She was cast in the now iconic crime drama series Sons Of Anarchy. Here too she played a wife and mother, but as part of a family in a criminal motorcycle club. Segal truly shined in the role as the calculating, strong-willed, and tough Gemma Teller, and it even earned her a Golden Globe in 2011.
