Just as Peggy has her best-friend-slash-neighbor, so too does Al. In this case, it’s Marcy’s husband, Jefferson D’Arcy, played by Ted McGinley. Unlike Al, who is seen as being an average guy with average looks and an average job, Jefferson is seen as a pretty boy who married for money. While Jefferson takes every opportunity that he can with Al to talk about his wife behind her back, the two stay together and somehow make their marriage work.
