Before Wayne’s World, Carrere had already had a recurring role in General Hospital when she appeared in the season five episode, “Kelly Bounces Back.” As Piper Baumann, she plays a model competing with Kelly Bundy to be the spokesmodel for a luxury sports car. During the audition, their rivalry quickly escalates, and they exchange a flurry of biting insults at each other. Soon, this mutual hostility turns into a physical confrontation that Kelly wins by knocking Piper out into nearby plants on the set. Then, Kelly promptly seizes the opportunity to take the spokesmodel role.
