While we might know who was on the line-up, no one ever knew where the performances actually took place. The festival was covered in trash by the time everyone had left. However, it was a functioning farm, and everything needed to be cleared.
A team of volunteers stayed behind to clear the garbage and dismantle any of the constructions that had been left behind. Everything was rushed, and there were no notes about how Woodstock was put together. No physical evidence means no one knows how the festival was laid out.
