Woodstock ‘69 was a chance for people across the nation to come together and show their love for the world. The country was in the middle of a difficult time, and people wanted to stand for love – not war.
It was one of the largest hippie gatherings that the world has ever seen. The festival was supposed to be for a couple of thousand people. In the end, around half a million people arrived at Woodstock. The influx of people saw the town stand still as Woodstock took over.
