Thanks to the metric and imperial systems almost being used in tandem, it’s easy to get confused between which system is which. However, it seems as though this person has made their problem more complicated than it needs to be.
It seems they were unaware that they were trying to convert pounds into pounds, which is actually a pretty easy conversion. All you have to do is keep the value exactly the same, so 0.4 pounds is exactly 0.4 pounds.
