As viewers, we were often treated to hearing Telma’s stunning vocals, and this is because she’s had a career in music, too. In her early twenties, Telma was part of the pop group known as ‘Tony Orlando and Dawn’, who had a string of hits in the 70s.
However, after the success of the group fell apart, Telma decided to turn to acting instead. Clearly, this decision greatly paid off, because even after ‘Family Matters’, Thelma went on to star in hit comedy movies such as ‘Lab Rats’ and ‘Are We There Yet?’
